Nick Durr presented at the Lester Wolfe Workshop in Laser Biomedicine. He attended this workshop every year as a postdoc and it was an honor to return and share the program with Profs. Yuste, Bhargava, and Evans. His talk was about virtual multimodal deep learning in endoscopy.
Congrats to Faisal for accepting an Assistant Professorship of Pathology at Harvard Medical School. The lab will miss him tremendously and we look forward to learning from his research at HMS. Taylor Bobrow and Richard Chen have each been awarded a highly-competitive NSF fellowship to fund 3 years of their graduate studies. These prestigious awards are awarded to <16% of applicants, which include many of the top graduate students in the US. Congrats to Taylor and Richard!
Nick is honored to receive the 2019 Capers and Marion McDonald Award for Excellence in Mentoring and Advising. He will be presented the award during convocation on 5/6/19.
